All My Sons is based upon a true story, which described how in 1941–43 the Wright Aeronautical Corporation conspired with Army inspection officers to approve defective aircraft engines destined for military use. It is upon this foundation that Miller's play is built. During WW2, industrialist Joe Keller is involved with the Wright Aeronautical cover up and frames his business partner Herbert Deever but years later his sin comes back to haunt him when Joe's remaining son plans to marry Deever's daughter.

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by Shakespeare early in his career. A tale about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among the bard's most popular plays during his lifetime. Today, the title characters are regarded as archetypal young lovers. In the streets of Verona another brawl breaks out between the servants of the feuding noble families of Capulet and Montague. Benvolio, a Montague, tries to stop the fighting, but is himself embroiled when the rash Capulet, Tybalt, arrives on the scene and so the story begins.
